For my Graphic Design Synthesis class, I was tasked with creating an identity system for a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and I chose Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland.
Inspired by the park's glaciers, volcanic terrain, and waterfalls, I designed a set of 13 pieces, including logos, typography, letterhead, business cards, and site signs, that reflect the park's natural beauty and significance. The design features a color palette inspired by ice and earth tones, and a logo that references ancient Norse language that was prevalent in Iceland’s history. This project allowed me to combine my love for design with a deep respect for nature, creating a cohesive identity system that enhances the visitor experience and communicates the park's cultural importance.
